| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. The heading to Section 64.009, Election Code, is | ||
| amended to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 64.009. VOTING AT [ |
||
| PLACE ENTRANCE OR CURB. | ||
| SECTION 2. Section 64.009(a), Election Code, is amended to | ||
| read as follows: | ||
| (a) On [ |
||
| deliver a ballot to the voter at the polling place entrance or curb | ||
| if a voter is: | ||
| (1) physically unable to enter the polling place | ||
| without personal assistance or likelihood of injuring the voter's | ||
| health; or | ||
| (2) a caregiver or family member accompanying a voter | ||
| described by Subdivision (1) if that voter is not also a driver | ||
| providing a digitally prearranged ride, as defined by Section | ||
| 2402.001, Occupations Code. | ||
| SECTION 3. The heading to Section 85.034, Election Code, is | ||
| amended to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 85.034. VOTING AT [ |

| PLACE ENTRANCE OR CURB. | ||
| SECTION 4. This Act takes effect on the 91st day after the | ||
| last day of the legislative session. | ||
