| relating to materials for school districts on human trafficking. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 38, Education Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 38.0042 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 38.0042. MATERIALS ON HUMAN TRAFFICKING. The agency, | ||
| in consultation with experts in the field of human trafficking | ||
| prevention, shall make available to each school district: | ||
| (1) training materials for school personnel on human | ||
| trafficking, including strategies for the prevention of | ||
| trafficking of children; and | ||
| (2) resource materials that describe local, state, and | ||
| national resources to which students, parents, counselors, and | ||
| school personnel can refer for information on human trafficking, | ||
| including strategies for the prevention of trafficking of children. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. | ||
