| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 155, Occupations Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 155.1045 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 155.1045. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF TEMPORARY LICENSE | ||
| HOLDER. Notwithstanding any other law, the holder of a temporary | ||
| license issued under Section 155.104(a) has the same rights and | ||
| obligations as imposed by the laws of this state on the holder of a | ||
| permanent unrestricted license issued under this chapter, | ||
| including prescriptive authority. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
| a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
| provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
| Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
| Act takes effect September 1, 2017. | ||
