A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the extension of the portion of U.S. Highway 290
designated as the Ronald Reagan Memorial Highway.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Sections 225.0591(a) and (b), Transportation
Code, are amended to read as follows:
(a) [The part of] U.S. Highway 290 [in Harris County between
the Harris County boundary with Waller County and Interstate
Highway 610] is designated as the Ronald Reagan Memorial Highway.
The designation is in addition to any other designation.
(b) The department shall design and construct [memorial]
markers indicating the [highway number, the] designation as the
Ronald Reagan Memorial Highway[,] and any other appropriate
information.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
