relating to payments made to certain foster parents. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 264.101, Family Code, is amended by | ||
adding Subsection (a-3) to read as follows: | ||
(a-3) In addition to the daily foster care reimbursement | ||
rate paid to a foster parent under this section, the department | ||
shall pay an additional amount equal to 40 percent of the daily | ||
foster care reimbursement rate paid to the foster parent if the | ||
foster parent: | ||
(1) cares for a foster child who is 16 years of age or | ||
younger; and | ||
(2) has an adjusted household income that does not | ||
exceed 150 percent of the current federal poverty guidelines for | ||
the relevant household size. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
