| officers employed by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 659, Government Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 659.0156 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 659.0156. BONUS PAYMENT TO CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS | ||
| EMPLOYED BY TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE. If the Texas | ||
| Department of Criminal Justice agrees to pay a bonus to a | ||
| correctional officer for accepting work at a correctional facility, | ||
| the bonus must be paid in four equal installments with the officer's | ||
| regular pay for the officer's 1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th month of | ||
| employment at the facility. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. | ||
