BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 40.0528(d), Human Resources Code, is | ||
amended to read as follows: | ||
(d) The department shall measure the [ |

caseworkers [ |
||
|
||
department. The standards must include: | ||
(1) the total number of children involved in the case; | ||
(2) the type of placement for each child involved in | ||
the case; | ||
(3) the total number of placements for the case; | ||
(4) the level of care required for each child involved | ||
in the case; | ||
(5) the level of department intervention and parental | ||
or family services required for the case; and | ||
(6) the level of caseworker experience required to | ||
appropriately manage the case [ |

SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
