| police vehicles. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 547.702, Transportation Code, is amended | ||
| by adding Subsection (g) to read as follows: | ||
| (g) A police vehicle used to patrol shall be conspicuously | ||
| marked as a police vehicle with the insignia of the applicable law | ||
| enforcement agency clearly visible at a distance of up to 500 feet | ||
| under normal atmospheric conditions. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. | ||
