| relating to the protest of an application for certain alcoholic | ||
| beverage permits. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 11, Alcoholic Beverage | ||
| Code, is amended by adding Section 11.411 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 11.411. ANONYMOUS PROTEST OF CERTAIN PERMIT | ||
| APPLICATIONS. A person, other than a local official acting under | ||
| Section 11.41, may anonymously protest the application for a permit | ||
| under Chapter 28 or 29. | ||
| SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only | ||
| to an application for a permit filed on or after the effective date | ||
| of this Act. | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. | ||
