A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the protest of an application for certain alcoholic
beverage permits.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 11, Alcoholic Beverage
Code, is amended by adding Section 11.411 to read as follows:
Sec. 11.411. ANONYMOUS PROTEST OF CERTAIN PERMIT
APPLICATIONS. A person, other than a local official acting under
Section 11.41, may anonymously protest the application for a permit
under Chapter 28 or 29.
SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only
to an application for a permit filed on or after the effective date
of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
