| relating to toll rates for certain vehicles traveling on State | ||
| Highway 130. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 228, Transportation Code, | ||
| is amended by adding Section 228.0531 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 228.0531. TOLLS FOR CERTAIN VEHICLES ON STATE HIGHWAY | ||
| 130. To encourage an operator of a vehicle or combination of | ||
| vehicles with three or more axles to use State Highway 130, the | ||
| commission and the department shall develop a program to discount | ||
| or adjust toll rates for a vehicle or combination of vehicles with | ||
| three or more axles traveling on Segments 1-4 of State Highway 130. | ||
| SECTION 2. Not later than January 1, 2016, the Texas | ||
| Transportation Commission and the Texas Department of | ||
| Transportation shall develop and implement the toll rate adjustment | ||
| program required by Section 228.0531, Transportation Code, as added | ||
| by this Act. | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. | ||
