| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 48.104(e-1), Education Code, is amended | ||
| to read as follows: | ||
| (e-1) For each student who is a homeless child or youth as | ||
| defined by 42 U.S.C. Section 11434a or in the conservatorship of the | ||
| Department of Family and Protective Services, a school district is | ||
| entitled to an annual allotment equal to the basic allotment | ||
| multiplied by 2.41 [ |

| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. | ||
