A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the service retirement annuity of certain state
employees.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 814.105, Government Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (e) to read as follows:
(e) Notwithstanding any other law, the service retirement
annuity for service credited in the employee class of membership
for a member who was not a member on the date hired, was hired on or
after September 1, 2015, and is eligible to retire may not exceed
the gross salary of a member of the United States armed forces on
active duty at the pay grade of O-10 as defined by 37 U.S.C. Section
201(a).
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
