| relating to the review by a school district board of trustees of a | ||

| teacher without pay or terminate the teacher's contract. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 21.259(b), Education Code, is amended to | ||
| read as follows: | ||
| (b) The board of trustees or board subcommittee may adopt, | ||
| reject, or change the hearing examiner's: | ||
| (1) conclusions of law [ |
||

||
| (2) proposal for granting relief. | ||
| SECTION 2. Section 21.257(a-1), Education Code, is | ||
| repealed. | ||
| SECTION 3. The changes in law made by this Act apply only to | ||
| a hearing before a hearing examiner held on or after the effective | ||
| date of this Act. A hearing before a hearing examiner held before | ||
| the effective date of this Act is governed by the law in effect on | ||
| the date of the hearing, and the former law is continued in effect | ||
| for that purpose. | ||
| SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. | ||
