| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 37.008, Water Code, is amended by adding | ||
| Subsection (e) to read as follows: | ||
| (e) For all training required to qualify for or renew a | ||
| license, the commission must provide: | ||
| (1) a location for the training within 100 miles of the | ||
| place of employment of a person who is required to receive the | ||
| training; | ||
| (2) reimbursement for travel and lodging expenses | ||
| incurred in attending training if training is not available at a | ||
| location described by Subdivision (1); or | ||
| (3) online training. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. | ||
