| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 504.054, Local Government Code, is | ||
| amended to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 504.054. LOCATION OF BOARD MEETINGS. (a) Except as | ||
| provided by Subsection (b), the [ |

| corporation shall conduct each board meeting within the boundaries | ||
| of the authorizing municipality. | ||
| (b) If the authorizing municipality is located in a county | ||
| with a population of less than 30,000, the board of directors of a | ||
| Type A corporation may conduct a board meeting within the | ||
| boundaries of the county. | ||
| SECTION 2. Section 505.055, Local Government Code, is | ||
| amended to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 505.055. LOCATION OF BOARD MEETINGS. (a) Except as | ||
| provided by Subsection (b), the [ |

| (b) If the authorizing municipality is located in a county | ||

| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
| a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
| provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
| Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
| Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | ||
