| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 1305, Occupations Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 1305.106 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 1305.106. MUNICIPAL AND COUNTY INSPECTORS. The | ||
| department may contract with a municipal or county inspector to | ||
| enforce or assist in the enforcement of this chapter and rules | ||
| adopted under this chapter, including the performance of | ||
| inspections and investigations required under this chapter. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
