A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to training requirements for foster parents.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. C
hapter 42.042, Human Resources Code, is amended
by adding (p-1) to read as follows:
(p-1) The Executive Commissioner shall adopt rules allowing
for a waiver process for annual training requirements for verified
foster parents.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
