| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Chapter 57, Occupations Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Section 57.003 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 57.003. CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS. | ||
| Notwithstanding any other law, a state agency may not impose | ||
| continuing education requirements on a license holder unless the | ||
| agency is responsible for issuing the license. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. | ||
