| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 42.043, Human Resources Code, is amended | ||
| by adding Subsection (g) to read as follows: | ||
| (g) Except as provided by Subsection (d)(1), a privately | ||
| owned and operated child-care facility regulated under this chapter | ||
| may require each child admitted to the facility to be current on | ||
| immunizations in accordance with the schedule adopted under Section | ||
| 161.004, Health and Safety Code. The exemptions from immunization | ||
| described by Subsection (d)(2) and Section 161.004(d)(1), Health | ||
| and Safety Code, do not apply to children seeking admission to the | ||
| facility. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
