	A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
	AN ACT
	relating to the registration fee for motor vehicles with a gross
	weight of 6,000 pounds or less.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
	SECTION 1. Section 502.252, Transportation Code, is amended
	to read as follows:
	Sec. 502.252. FEE: VEHICLES THAT WEIGH 6,000 POUNDS OR
	LESS. [~~(a)~~] The fee for a registration year for registration of a
	vehicle with a gross weight of 6,000 pounds or less is $60.75
	[~~$50.75~~], unless otherwise provided in this chapter.
	SECTION 2. This Act takes effect January 1, 2016.
