| relating to compliance with rules, bylaws, and written policies | ||
| adopted by a school district's board of trustees. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 11.151, Education Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (d-1) to read as follows: | ||
| (d-1) Rules and bylaws adopted under Subsection (d) and any | ||
| other written policies adopted by the trustees have the force of law | ||
| in relation to the district, and the board of trustees, each | ||
| trustee, and each school district employee shall comply with those | ||
| rules, bylaws, and policies. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
| a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
| provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
| Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
| Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | ||
