| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Chapter 15, Code of Criminal Procedure, is | ||
| amended by adding Article 15.021 to read as follows: | ||
| Art. 15.021. INFORMATION ATTACHED TO WARRANT. If a warrant | ||
| is issued for the arrest of a person alleged to have committed an | ||
| offense under Section 25.07, Penal Code, or an offense listed in | ||
| Subsection (a)(1) of that section, the arresting officer must | ||
| attach to the warrant a written statement identifying the victim of | ||
| the alleged offense, if that information is available to the | ||
| arresting officer. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | ||
