| relating to the designation of a segment of U.S. Highway 77/83 and | ||
| State Highway 4 as Jaime Zapata Memorial Boulevard. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, | ||
| is amended by adding Section 225.082 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 225.082. JAIME ZAPATA MEMORIAL BOULEVARD. (a) U.S. | ||
| Highway 77/83 from the Brownsville and Matamoros Bridge to State | ||
| Highway 4, and State Highway 4 from U.S. Highway 77/83 to State | ||
| Highway 48, are designated as Jaime Zapata Memorial Boulevard. | ||
| (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: | ||
| (1) design and construct markers indicating the | ||
| highway number, the designation as Jaime Zapata Memorial Boulevard, | ||
| and any other appropriate information; and | ||
| (2) erect a marker at each end of the boulevard and at | ||
| appropriate intermediate sites along the boulevard. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | ||
