| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 201.105, Family Code, is amended to read | ||
| as follows: | ||
| Sec. 201.105. COMPENSATION OF ASSOCIATE JUDGE. (a) An | ||
| associate judge appointed under this subchapter is entitled to | ||
| receive from the state a salary in an amount equal to [ |
||
|
|
||
|
|
||
| salary paid to a district judge as set by the General Appropriations | ||
| Act. | ||
| (b) Notwithstanding any other law, longevity pay paid to an | ||
| associate judge under Section 659.044, Government Code, is not | ||
| included as part of the [ |
||
| provided by Subsection (a) [ |
||
|
|
||
|
|
||
|
|
||
| (c) The office of court administration in accordance with | ||
| this subchapter may use federal funds obtained from the Title IV-D | ||
| agency to cover the costs of an associate judge's salary. | ||
| SECTION 2. Section 201.205, Family Code, is amended by | ||
| amending Subsection (a) and adding Subsection (a-1) to read as | ||
| follows: | ||
| (a) An associate judge appointed under this subchapter is | ||
| entitled to receive from the state a salary in an amount equal to | ||

| percent of the salary paid to a district judge as set by the state | ||
| General Appropriations Act. | ||
| (a-1) Notwithstanding any other law, longevity pay paid to | ||
| an associate judge under Section 659.044, Government Code, is not | ||
| included as part of the associate judge's salary amount provided by | ||
| Subsection (a). | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. | ||
