| relating to the sale of park land owned by certain municipalities. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 253.001, Local Government Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Subsection (l) to read as follows: | ||
| (l) Subsection (b) does not apply to a conveyance of park | ||
| land owned by a home-rule municipality that: | ||
| (1) is located in a county with a population of more | ||
| than three million; and | ||
| (2) has a population of more than 25,000 and less than | ||
| 33,000. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
| a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
| provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
| Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
| Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | ||
