| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 542.003, Insurance Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: | ||
| (c) This section applies to an insurance carrier, as that | ||
| term is defined by Section 401.011, Labor Code, providing workers' | ||
| compensation insurance. Subsection (b)(6) does not apply to the | ||
| insurance carrier if the division of workers' compensation of the | ||
| department determines that the insurance carrier is in compliance | ||
| with division rules relating to access to workers' | ||
| compensation-related records and information. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. | ||
