A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to automobile insurance coverage provided through the
Texas Automobile Insurance Plan Association.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 2151, Insurance Code, is
amended by adding Section 2151.155 to read as follows:
Sec. 2151.155. MANDATORY OFFER OF COVERAGE PROHIBITED. The
plan of operation may accept an authorized insurer's offer to write
coverage that is currently provided by the insurer under an
assignment made under this chapter.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
