| relating to the abolishment of the process server review board. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 74.024(a), Government Code, is amended | ||
| to read as follows: | ||
| (a) Except as provided by this subsection, the [ |
||
| court may adopt rules of administration setting policies and | ||
| guidelines necessary or desirable for the operation and management | ||
| of the court system and for the efficient administration of | ||
| justice. The supreme court may not adopt a rule that creates an | ||
| occupational regulatory program for process servers. | ||
| SECTION 2. Sections 51.008, 72.013, and 72.091, Government | ||
| Code, are repealed. | ||
| SECTION 3. On the effective date of this Act, the process | ||
| server review board is abolished. | ||
| SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. | ||
