| relating to the establishment of a publicly accessible database | ||
| containing information on materials and products used in the | ||
| construction of wastewater projects. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 26, Water Code, is amended | ||
| by adding Section 26.054 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 26.054. MATERIALS AND PRODUCTS DATABASE. (a) The | ||
| commission shall create and maintain on an Internet website a | ||
| publicly accessible database of information about the testing and | ||
| validation of materials and products used in the construction of | ||
| wastewater projects. | ||
| (b) The commission may coordinate the creation and | ||
| maintenance of the database described in Subsection (a) with a | ||
| college or department of engineering at an institution of higher | ||
| education, as that term is defined by Section 61.003, Education | ||
| Code. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
| a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
| provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
| Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
| Act takes effect September 1, 2015. | ||
