| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Chapter 209, Property Code, is amended by adding | ||
| Section 209.00635 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 209.00635. PARTIAL PAYMENT TO ASSOCIATION. A property | ||
| owners' association is not required to accept partial payment from | ||
| an owner of any amount owed to the association, unless the partial | ||
| payment is made to the association under a payment plan or other | ||
| written agreement the owner enters into with the association under | ||
| which the association agrees to accept the partial payment from the | ||
| owner. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. | ||
