| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 42.154, Education Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (a-2) to read as follows: | ||
| (a-2) Notwithstanding Section 42.005, for purposes of | ||
| computing a district's average daily attendance in approved career | ||
| and technology education programs for the allotment specified by | ||
| Subsection (a)(1) for students in grades 9 through 12, the | ||
| commissioner shall include students attending an approved night or | ||
| summer program of career and technology education. The commissioner | ||
| shall adopt rules to implement this subsection. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. | ||
