| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 443.015, Government Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (c-1) to read as follows: | ||
| (c-1) A parking meter installed under this section must | ||
| accept electronic payment methods, including payments made with a | ||
| credit or debit card, for payment of a parking fee collected through | ||
| the parking meter. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. | ||
