| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 615.003(a), Local Government Code, is | ||
| amended to read as follows: | ||
| (a) A county with a population of 40,000 [ |
||
| may construct, enlarge, equip, and operate a parking lot or parking | ||
| garage adjacent to or near the county courthouse. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. | ||
