| of Nursing to a military service member, military veteran, or | ||
| military spouse. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 301, Occupations Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 301.2601 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 301.2601. TEMPORARY LICENSE FOR MILITARY SERVICE | ||
| MEMBER, MILITARY VETERAN, OR MILITARY SPOUSE. The board shall | ||
| adopt rules to expedite the issuance of a temporary license under | ||
| Section 301.260 to an applicant who is a military service member, | ||
| military veteran, or military spouse, as those terms are defined by | ||
| Section 55.001. | ||
| SECTION 2. Not later than January 1, 2020, the Texas Board | ||
| of Nursing shall adopt the rules required by Section 301.2601, | ||
| Occupations Code, as added by this Act. | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
