| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. The heading to Section 1702.1183, Occupations | ||
| Code, is amended to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 1702.1183. RECIPROCAL LICENSE FOR CERTAIN [ |
||
| APPLICANTS. | ||
| SECTION 2. Section 1702.1183, Occupations Code, is amended | ||
| by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: | ||
| (c) The board shall adopt rules under which the board may | ||
| waive any prerequisite to obtaining a license for, and credit | ||
| experience for a license requirement to, an individual who the | ||
| board determines has acceptable experience gained during service in | ||
| a branch of the United States armed forces, including the United | ||
| States Coast Guard. | ||
| SECTION 3. The Texas Private Security Board shall adopt | ||
| rules to implement Section 1702.1183(c), Occupations Code, as added | ||
| by this Act, as soon as practicable after the effective date of this | ||
| Act. | ||
| SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. | ||
