| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 441.127, Government Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | ||
| (d) Accreditation standards adopted by the commission under | ||
| Subsection (a) shall provide that a public library with a service | ||
| area of over 50,000 residents that receives state or federal | ||
| funding to provide high-speed Internet access shall provide | ||
| computers with high-speed Internet access for public use. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | ||
