A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the use of money made available to certain counties by
the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for local initiative
air quality projects.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 382.220(c), Health and Safety Code, is
amended to read as follows:
(c) Money that is made available for the implementation of a
program under Subsection (b) may not be expended for [local
government fleet or vehicle acquisition or replacement,] call
center management, application oversight, invoice analysis,
education, outreach, or advertising purposes.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
