| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 504.202, Transportation Code, is amended | ||
| by adding Subsection (j) to read as follows: | ||
| (j) A motor vehicle displaying license plates issued under | ||
| this section may use any high occupancy vehicle lane in this state | ||
| regardless of the number of occupants in the vehicle unless the use | ||
| would violate federal transit or highway funding restrictions. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. | ||
