| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 2054, Government Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 2054.133 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 2054.133. ELECTRONIC REPORTING BY PUBLIC ENTITY. | ||
| Notwithstanding any other law, each state agency shall encourage | ||
| public entities, including other state agencies, to electronically | ||
| submit all reports and correspondence the public entity is required | ||
| to submit to the state agency under law. The receiving state agency | ||
| as necessary may request the public entity to provide a paper copy | ||
| of a report or correspondence submitted electronically. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | ||
