| relating to electronically filing any court document in a criminal | ||
| case in Cameron County. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 24.205, Government Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (e) to read as follows: | ||
| (e) A party in a criminal case before the court may | ||
| electronically file any required court document if the | ||
| commissioners court of the county adopts an order authorizing | ||
| filing by that method. | ||
| SECTION 2. Section 24.209, Government Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | ||
| (d) A party in a criminal case before the court may | ||
| electronically file any required court document if the | ||
| commissioners court of the county adopts an order authorizing | ||
| filing by that method. | ||
| SECTION 3. Section 24.240, Government Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (e) to read as follows: | ||
| (e) A party in a criminal case before the court may | ||
| electronically file any required court document if the | ||
| commissioners court of the county adopts an order authorizing | ||
| filing by that method. | ||
| SECTION 4. Section 24.376, Government Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: | ||
| (c) A party in a criminal case before the court in Cameron | ||
| County may electronically file any required court document if the | ||
| commissioners court of the county adopts an order authorizing | ||
| filing by that method. | ||
| SECTION 5. Section 24.503, Government Code, is amended to | ||
| read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 24.503. 357TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (CAMERON COUNTY). (a) | ||
| The 357th Judicial District is composed of Cameron County. | ||
| (b) A party in a criminal case before the court may | ||
| electronically file any required court document if the | ||
| commissioners court of the county adopts an order authorizing | ||
| filing by that method. | ||
| SECTION 6. Section 24.549, Government Code, is amended to | ||
| read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 24.549. 404TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (CAMERON COUNTY). (a) | ||
| The 404th Judicial District is composed of Cameron County. | ||
| (b) A party in a criminal case before the court may | ||
| electronically file any required court document if the | ||
| commissioners court of the county adopts an order authorizing | ||
| filing by that method. | ||
| SECTION 7. Section 24.589, Government Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: | ||
| (c) A party in a criminal case before the court may | ||
| electronically file any required court document if the | ||
| commissioners court of the county adopts an order authorizing | ||
| filing by that method. | ||
| SECTION 8. Section 24.640, Government Code, is amended to | ||
| read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 24.640. 444TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (CAMERON COUNTY). (a) | ||
| The 444th Judicial District is composed of Cameron County. | ||
| (b) A party in a criminal case before the court may | ||
| electronically file any required court document if the | ||
| commissioners court of the county adopts an order authorizing | ||
| filing by that method. | ||
| SECTION 9. Section 25.0332, Government Code, is amended by | ||
| adding Subsection (b) to read as follows: | ||
| (b) A party in a criminal case before the court may | ||
| electronically file any required court document if the | ||
| commissioners court of the county adopts an order authorizing | ||
| filing by that method. | ||
| SECTION 10. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. | ||
