| public school campus. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 11, Education Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 11.1561 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 11.1561. REPORT OF DONATIONS. (a) A school district | ||
| shall annually report all monetary and nonmonetary donations | ||
| received by the district and each school campus in the district in | ||
| the manner specified by the commissioner. The report must be | ||
| submitted through the Public Education Information Management | ||
| System (PEIMS) and include a statement of: | ||
| (1) the amount of any monetary donation; | ||
| (2) the fair market value and a description of any | ||
| nonmonetary donation; | ||
| (3) the name and location of the school campus, if the | ||
| donation was made to a campus; and | ||
| (4) any restrictions or conditions placed on the | ||
| donation by the donor. | ||
| (b) A report under this section must be posted on the | ||
| Internet website of the school district and school campus, if | ||
| applicable. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act applies beginning with the 2011-2012 | ||
| school year. | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
| a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
| provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
| Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
| Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | ||
