| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 42.042, Human Resources Code, is amended | ||
| by adding Subsection (h-2) to read as follows: | ||
| (h-2) The minimum standards for the regulation of | ||
| child-placing agencies licensed by the commission that provide | ||
| international adoption services must require that, for a child | ||
| adopted in a foreign country, the child-placing agency: | ||
| (1) conduct a post-placement review; and | ||
| (2) prepare at least two post-placement adoptive | ||
| reports. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
