child-placing agencies providing international adoption services. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 42.042, Human Resources Code, is amended | ||
by adding Subsection (h-2) to read as follows: | ||
(h-2) The minimum standards for the regulation of | ||
child-placing agencies licensed by the commission that provide | ||
international adoption services must require that, for a child | ||
adopted in a foreign country, the child-placing agency: | ||
(1) conduct a post-placement review; and | ||
(2) prepare at least two post-placement adoptive | ||
reports. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
