A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to the repeal of certain provisions limiting the offering
  of courses by a public junior college within the service area of
  another public junior college.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Sections 130.251(d) and (d-1), Education Code,
  are repealed.
         SECTION 2.  The change in law made by this Act applies
  beginning with courses offered by a public junior college for the
  2018 spring semester.
         SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2017.
