| relating to the design of specialty license plates issued to | ||
| members and former members of the United States armed forces. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 504.3011(a), Transportation Code, is | ||
| amended to read as follows: | ||
| (a) License plates issued under Section 504.303: | ||
| (1) must at a minimum bear a color depiction of the | ||
| emblem of the appropriate branch of the United States armed forces; | ||
| and | ||
| (2) may, on the request of an applicant for the license | ||
| plates, include the words "Honorably Discharged" for license plates | ||
| issued to former members of the United States armed forces. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. | ||
