| relating to the appropriation of money from the economic | ||
| stabilization fund for maintenance, renovation, and repair of | ||
| certain state buildings. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. In addition to other amounts appropriated to the | ||
| Texas Facilities Commission for the state fiscal biennium ending | ||
| August 31, 2019, $500 million is appropriated out of the economic | ||
| stabilization fund to the Texas Facilities Commission for that | ||
| state fiscal biennium for purposes of providing general building | ||
| maintenance for, and renovating and repairing, state buildings for | ||
| which the commission provides facilities management services under | ||
| Section 2165.007, Government Code, or under the terms of a | ||
| memorandum of understanding. Maintenance, renovation, and repairs | ||
| for which money appropriated under this section may be used | ||
| includes maintenance, renovation, and repairs of electrical, | ||
| mechanical, plumbing, and sewer systems. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017, but only | ||
| if the Act receives a vote of two-thirds of the members present in | ||
| each house of the legislature, as provided by Section 49-g(m), | ||
| Article III, Texas Constitution. | ||
