relating to certain legislative deadlines. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Chapter 322, Government Code, is amended by | ||
adding new Section 322.025 to read as follows: | ||
Sec. 322.025 LEGISLATIVE PRIORITY DEADLINES. | ||
(a) On or | ||
before the 100th legislative day, the legislature shall send to the | ||
Governor: | ||
(1) the General Appropriations Act; | ||
(2) any legislation reauthorizing a state agency under | ||
review by the sunset advisory commission; or | ||
(3) any legislation concerning public school finance | ||
that is respondent to a court order of invalidity or | ||
unconstitutionality. | ||
(b) After the 100th legislative day, no legislation shall be | ||
considered by either chamber of the legislature until the | ||
legislation described by subsection (a) has been sent to the | ||
Governor. |
