| governmental entity on the entity's Internet website. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter F, Chapter 2051, Government Code, as | ||
| redesignated from Subchapter E, Chapter 2051, Government Code, by | ||
| H.B. 1154 and H.B. 3607, Acts of the 87th Legislature, Regular | ||
| Session, 2021, and as effective September 1, 2021, is amended by | ||
| adding Section 2051.203 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 2051.203. REQUIRED POSTING OF NOTICE. (a) In this | ||
| section "governmental entity" has the meaning assigned by Section | ||
| 2051.041. | ||
| (b) A governmental entity shall post in a prominent location | ||
| on the home page of the entity's Internet website: | ||
| (1) each emergency notification issued by the entity; | ||
| and | ||
| (2) any other official notice issued by the entity, | ||
| including notices regarding the entity's ability or inability to | ||
| provide services the entity normally provides to the public. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect December 1, 2021. | ||
