	A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
	AN ACT
	relating to appropriating money to the Texas A&M Forest Service to
	be used to assist volunteer fire departments during the current
	state fiscal biennium.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
	SECTION 1. In addition to amounts previously appropriated
	for the state fiscal biennium ending August 31, 2013, the amount of
	$33,000,000 is appropriated out of general revenue account number
	5064, Volunteer Fire Department Assistance, to the Texas A&M Forest
	Service for the fiscal year ending August 31, 2013, for the purpose
	of assisting volunteer firefighters in paying for equipment,
	personnel training, and administration, and for the purpose of
	staffing and operating costs associated with the Statewide Wildfire
	Protection Plan.
	SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
	a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
	provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
	Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
	Act has no effect.
