	A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
	AN ACT
	relating to an offense report prepared in the investigation of a
	criminal case.
	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
	SECTION 1. Chapter 2, Code of Criminal Procedure, is
	amended by adding Article 2.139 to read as follows:
	Art. 2.139. OFFENSE REPORT. An offense report prepared in
	the investigation of a criminal case must be signed by each peace
	officer who contributed information to the report.
	SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only
	to an offense report prepared on or after the effective date of this
	Act.
	SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
