| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 92, Property Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 92.0132 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 92.0132. TERM OF PARKING PERMIT. A landlord who issues | ||
| a parking permit to a tenant: | ||
| (1) must issue the permit for a term that is | ||
| coterminous with the tenant's lease term; and | ||
| (2) may not terminate or suspend the permit until the | ||
| date the tenant's right of possession ends. | ||
| SECTION 2. Section 92.0132, Property Code, as added by this | ||
| Act, applies to a parking permit issued on or after the effective | ||
| date of this Act. | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect January 1, 2020. | ||
